The Attorneys Network
Defense counsel, former prosecutors, and academics working with the Foundation on procedural reform, amicus support, and case documentation.
The reforms we pursue are procedural, not partisan. That makes them portable across the profession — and it is why the Attorneys Network includes practitioners with very different day-to-day practices who agree on one thing: the federal criminal system should give both sides comparable tools to test the evidence.
Membership is informal. Attorneys who join receive our filings for comment before submission, invitations to closed roundtables, and periodic requests for input on discrete legal questions. The Network is also our on-ramp to bar associations — including NACDL and the Florida ACDL — as coalition partners on Rule 15.
Activities
Filings for comment
Rules suggestion letters, amicus drafts, and public education briefs circulate to the Network for professional review before we publish.
Closed roundtables
Small-format working sessions on the reform docket — Rule 15, Jencks, prosecutorial immunity — under Chatham House rules.
Amicus opportunities
When a live federal case implicates one of our reform priorities, we coordinate amicus participation on a case-by-case basis.
No client work
The Foundation does not represent individuals, refer cases, or take a position on the guilt or innocence of any defendant.
